My name is Disciple, and that's as much as anyone here will ever need to know. If you come across someone on the net somewhere using the alias Disciple, DiscipleN2K or some other variation of those, it could very well be me. In here, that's just who I am. I'm 22 years old and I'm a
complete and total internet junkie. I'm also an aspiring computer geek. I have 3 goals in my life: To share
the love of Christ with anyone I come in contact with, To never meet any of the stereotypes that could be placed
upon me, And to crush Microsoft and see the rise of my own software company--Hootus Inc. (laugh now but you
will see that name in the headlines later). I'm a soldier in the United States Army and a soldier
for Christ. I've served as a cannon crewman, band nerd (yes, still talking about the army), and will soon be serving
as one of the military's IT specialists. I have little to no social skills as my mind works completely different from
the general populace. I spend my free time reading tech manuals about Linux, Unix, HTML, and hacking and I enjoy it--although
I'm sure I would enjoy it more if I had the opportunity to get more hands on with my studies.
That's pretty much where this page comes in. This web site is basically for me to test out all the new things I learn about HTML as well as to vent my frustrations in an internet journal of sorts. As I learn new techniques, new things will be implemented into the page. You can hang out here and check out my progress or learn more about me by checking out the links page to see all the stuff that I think is worth seeing. Oh yeah, one more thing some of you may be curious about is the name. As I'm sure you can tell from the background, I'm a huge Disciple fan. However, that's not where the name comes from. I chose my web alias as a reminder that even in cyberspace, I'm still a disciple of Christ, and as such my primary purpose should be to follow Christ and to lead others to do the same. If you have any questions about what I believe or you just want to flame me for believing that I'm going to Heaven because some carpenter died and came back to life, then feel free to email me. Just make sure you put "Disciple" in the subject so it doesn't get tossed with the tons of junk mail I constantly recieve. |
